Jazz and Tap Combo or Jazz and Ballet Combo

These combination classes combine tap and jazz or jazz and ballet. Dancers will learn the basics of the two styles. These young dancers will learn the importance of taking turns and working together while having fun exploring dance. Tap is excellent for developing rhythm and articulation of the feet. Jazz is taught using popular (but appropriate) music from the radio and children's TV networks. Ballet works dancer’s turnout and is graceful and fluid. These classes will develop flexibility, energy, expression, and strength. The combo classes meet once a week for 45 minutes.

Jazz

Contemporary jazz styles are taught within this class including classical jazz, street/urban jazz (like you see in music videos), and stylized jazz. This is a fun way to cultivate flexibility, energy, expression, interpretation, strength, and coordination while enjoying popular music. This class meets once a week for 45 minutes.

Ballet

Classical, but by no means out of date! Ballet is the foundation for all other styles of dance. Beautiful posture, flexibility, strength, and grace are the results of ballet. This class teaches the discipline of ballet while fostering a love of dance as an art form. Ballet technique meet once a week for 1 hour for dancers in 4th-12th grade and 45 minutes for dancers in K-3rd grade.

Tap

Tap will develop rhythm and articulation of the feet through rhythmical tapping of the toes and heels. This class meets once a week for 45 minutes.
